Connecting with friends and family....

Yesterday was a travel day and I had lots of time to reflect on the past few weeks with family.   As we prepared for our trip north this summer to camp-host at Yellowstone Holiday RV Resort in Montana, we spent as much special time with our children and precious grandson, Adler as we could.  There were pop-in visits, dinners out, and time at the playgrounds.  I think my favorite day was at Surfside Beach with Adler - a day spent looking at things from his perspective.  Every moment an adventure for him - and in turn, for us!  Skype and FaceTime will surely get a work-out as we keep in touch with Sara, Justin, Adler, & Mac - and our friends too!

So, we set out to cross Texas with a stop at Liz's and then connecting with John and Debbie to travel together to the Lubbock area.  We spent time visiting friends and Larry's family.  His Dad will be 93 this summer.  What a wonderful time we had with everyone!  Lots of children to play with, make cookies with and hug - lots of hugs!  And there were new babies too!  Sweet babies!

We enjoyed dinners and lunches, great home-cooked meals, the gun & knife show, and a comedy night at a local winery.  New tires for the truck and a Texas inspection sticker and we're ready to hit the road.  Just before leaving Texas, we were able to stop off for the night at Larry's cousin's home near Amarillo and enjoyed a nice visit.  Good thing we stopped as the wind was horrendous and played havoc on our fuel mileage!

Thanks for putting up with us, everyone!  You are all so wonderful and we enjoyed every minute with you!

See you "out there!"
