I love sitting down to write about some of our fun activities:
We enjoy time with Adler, whether it's picking flowers in his backyard for Mommy, napping together in Mimi's big bed, or feeding coins into games and rides at Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza. I love the joyful abandon at which he plays - his laughter is silly and rich and never-to-be-forgotten! At three years old, he discovers something every day and loves telling about it! He "fixes" things and imagines dinosaurs chasing us - sometimes at the same time!! When he does slow down, it's to read a book with us. He furrows his brow as he studies the pictures and almost always has a favorite page in each book. I know it won't be long until he says "no" to lap-time so we enjoy every minute! Love you high as the sky, Adler!
We so love our friends and spending time with them too! Larry had a fun visit with Howard, also recently retired. He stayed over for lunch so I could also catch up on his and Beverly's lives.
There are other prior posts of our visits with Leon and Kathy and John and Debbie. We hope to have repeat visits with them in the coming weeks too!
Sara and I had a delicious Italian lunch and day at the spa. It was so nice to have such a relaxing and un-hurried Mother/Daughter day. We finished up the afternoon together with a Starbucks stop and hugs! Justin wants us to go along with them to his favorite restaurant, Ruggles Green, and hopefully, we'll get the chance soon!
I've made plans for the next few weeks to catch up with Jody. Also have tentative overnight plans with Liz. And just last night I had a hilarious time with friend, Darla! She cracks me up and that's what I love about time with her! We seem to be able to laugh about anything - good and bad! Let's do it again soon, Darla!!
Today, Larry wanted to watch football but I wanted to go to the movies. Mac and Larry spent time together yesterday while I was at Darla's. They went to our favorite Mexican Food Restaurant without me! So, Mac agreed to go to the movies with me - that way, I wouldn't have to worry about guys asking me out (ha! ha!) - Mac would be my date. We saw "Broken City" with Marc Wahlberg and Russell Crowe. I liked the movie, but the best part was laughing our back-sides off during the drive! Both of us suck at directions!
Tomorrow...??? More time with Adler.... :)
